GOD IS FEMALE, TOO
There are many images utilized to help us realize Divinity. Some of these images are male, such as the currently popular image of the Judeo-Christian God of the Bible. There are images without sex, such as in totems and power animals of the Earth religions. Images are not God, yet they serve to remind us that there is God, and that this God is accessible to each and every one of us. We will explore female images of God, or Goddess, each month, until we feel led to do otherwise (you know how it is when you live your life led by Spirit!). This month's Goddess is Kuan-Yin. A quote from Hilda Charlton's book "Divine Mother Speaks," published by Golden Quest, describes Kuan-Yin as "the ancient Chinese symbol of the World-Mother and is called the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion. She is the embodiment of beauty and purity, and when Her form and divine qualities are contemplated upon, they resolve themselves into delicate and musical sounds imparting peace and harmony." Kuan-Yin, bless me with your peace, this moment. I give thanks for the beauty of Woman, for the harmonious vibrations she brings to the planetary experience. I am thankful to be Woman. Guide me, lead me, into a perfect realization of my Divine Nature as Goddess. So Be It.
